The Junior Board is a fundraising group for kids of all ages. Our mission is “Kids Helping Kids”. The board meets on a quarterly basis to plan events for and with the patients of Ranken Jordan that are fun and diverse meeting all participants’ needs.

There are three events the Junior Board participates in:

Carnival Night
This event is held in the Spring. The proceeds made at this event are put towards our Annual Giving Campaign. This is a day filled with many different carnival activities, raffle baskets, and carnival snacks.

Kids’ Walk
This event is held in the Fall. Every year participants walk 2 miles (8 laps around the hospital) to benefit the children of Ranken Jordan. Everyone is welcome to bring their dogs to walk. There are many different activities such as a Doggie Photo Booth , Doggie Dress-Up Contest, and raffle. On this fun-filled day, lunch is provided as well. More info.

Shining Lights
This event is held in the Winter. Shining Lights is an opportunity for families, patients, and people from the community to enjoy the warm atmosphere of the Ranken Jordan atrium lit up with thousands of lights from tabletop or full size holiday trees, Hanukkah and Christmas centerpieces, and wreaths. The different trees, wreaths, and centerpieces will be on display for a silent auction. There are activities and entertainment for the kids, a raffle, and light refreshments and hot cocoa.
