Coachmen Car Club and Evie
|
The Coachmen Car Club of St. Louis is a group of caring individuals who are selfless in their devotion to help the children at Ranken Jordan. The Coachmen have embraced Ranken Jordan wholeheartedly. They attend our Junior Board Kids' Walks and Spring Carnival to lend a hand where needed. They have hosted several events on our behalf which include a Valentine's dinner and two Car Show Labor Day barbecues. The Coachmen Car Club is a true example of Mary Ranken Jordan’s mission to "consider the children first in all we do." We are so grateful for their ongoing support of the kids.
During the Coachmen's recognition they had this to say about Ranken Jordan:
The Coachmen Car Club is a social organization. We have monthly breakfast meetings during the off season. We often meet at restaurants before car shows, and many of us participate in the monthly "Retired Old Men Eating Out" luncheon. Some might think we are an "Eating Club That Likes Cars." Rest assured that most of us are just as devoted to our hot rods as we are to our hotcakes, sausage and eggs!
I think it's safe to say that we try our best, to first of all support shows that are held for worthwhile causes. If there are two shows on a particular day and one of them is for charity, that’s where you'll find most of the Coachmen. Two years ago we adopted Ranken Jordan Pediatric Specialty Hospital in Maryland Heights as the primary organization that we'd like to support. Members who have been there, are all in agreement that this is a personally satisfying and worthwhile cause. We are now working closely with them on several new projects.
If this sounds like an organization that you would enjoy being a part of, for its enjoyment of cars and support of the community, we would certainly welcome you.
