Conditions & Treatments

Ranken Jordan cares for children ages 2 weeks through 21 years who have suffered life-altering illnesses or injuries and need to transition from the traditional hospital setting to home. Often, our patients have complex medical issues, sometimes in combination with difficult family situations, which may temporarily prevent them from being managed safely at home.

Our goal is to meet the diverse needs of this challenging patient population. Below is a list of conditions and treatments. See Programs & Services for an introduction to our services.


Conditions commonly treated:

Infants & Toddlers

  • Complications from prematurity including:
    • Bronchopulmonary dysplasia
    • Short bowel syndrome
    • Developmental delay
  • Congenital abnormalities of the brain, airway heart, GI or GU tract
  • Failure to thrive and feeding disorders
  • Neonatal abstinence
  • Complications of abuse or neglect

Preschool, School-Age Children
