Ranken Jordan shows gratitude to Maryland Heights Police Dept.Staff members from Ranken Jordan - A Specialty Pediatric Hospital, honored the Maryland Heights Police Department Tuesday with a cake and song of appreciation at the Limestone Golf Course. Lauri Tanner, CEO of Ranken Jordan, and several other staffers spoke to policemen about the hospital’s deep appreciation for the outstanding service provided every day by the MHPD. Ranken Jordan’s corporate FISH! Philosophy encourages hospital staff to honor and serve others. The policemen got an up-close look at the philosophy in action, as the hospital members demonstrated four simple practices: ‘play,’ ‘make their day,’ ‘be there’ and ‘choose your attitude’. Ranken Jordan is recognizing its families, vendors and sponsors and showing appreciation with their “fishy” songs and heartfelt ‘thanks,’ calling these visits “Caught in the Moment.”

Ranken Jordan staff expressed their gratitude to Maryland Heights Police by detailing the four components of their Fish Philosophy and how the police department demonstrates each. The hospital employees talked about the MHPD’s “playful” Santa Christmas visit and the D.A.R.E. car’s participation in Ranken Jordan’s first classic car show. Ranken Jordan also expressed appreciation for the officers' efforts to “make the patients’ day” when officers do their daily visits and when they extend a hand to our families. The Maryland Heights Policemen were honored for “being there” consistently for hospital calls and for negotiating difficult situations. Finally, Ranken Jordan staff honored the police for “choosing their attitude” when working with sometimes unappreciative citizens and for never giving up in the constant battle against community crime. At the end of the festivities, Ranken Jordan employees circulated around Limestone’s Bar & Grill and offered personal thanks to all of the policemen.
