Tom Minogue MHA Governance AwardThe Missouri Hospital Association (MHA) presented Ranken Jordan board secretary, Tom Minogue, with the Excellence in Governance Award for his contributions to health care.

Minogue was one of nine board members statewide honored during a June 10 presentation at MHA’s annual Leadership Forum in Lake Ozark, Mo. He has been a member of the Ranken Jordan Board for 26 years, and has served as secretary since 2002. Minogue served as president from 1994 to 1995 and as assistant secretary from 2001 to 2002.

"He was on every committee because we needed him on every committee," said Laureen K. Tanner, RN, MSN, FACHE, Ranken Jordan – A Pediatric Specialty Hospital president and CEO. "Tom’s standing in the community, his talent for business strategy and his determination to do whatever it takes on behalf of our kids has all been critical in our success.”

Minogue was the director of the St. Louis chapter of the American Heart Association from 1988 to 2004 and received the Arthur E. Strauss Award in 2002. He has been the director of the Ranken Jordan since 1987 and the director and executive committee member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis since 1997.

Since 1985, MHA’s Excellence in Governance award has been given annually to hospital board members for their dedication to exceptional health care. Award recipients are chosen by MHA’s district council presidents.
