The Notice of Privacy Practices has been revised in response to the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH Act) which was signed into law on February 17, 2009 and took effect this year. This change has expanded your rights under the HIPAA Act of 1996.
We respect the confidentiality of our patients' health information and recognize that information about our patients' health is personal. We are committed to protecting our patients' health information and to informing you of your rights regarding such information. The Notice of Privacy Practices explains how, when and why we typically use and disclose health information and your privacy rights regarding patients' health information.
