Excitement and anticipation filled the air as the patients celebrated their first real prom on Friday, May 9, 2008. The PHRS (Patient Health-Related Services) Gym was transformed into a banquet hall and ballroom adorned with a masquerade theme. Local businesses donated props, dinner, desserts and a DJ to make the night an authentic prom experience.
The patients approached Ranken Jordan’s Prom just like any other prom: with style! Staff spent considerable time applying makeup and dressing the ladies in formal gowns. Brady, an inpatient, was crowned prom king, and Jessica and Geraldine (inpatients) tied for the prom queen title.
