Nick Holekamp, M.D., Chief Medical Officer of Ranken Jordan has been appointed to the Missouri Hospital Association Board of Trustees. His 3 year term begins Jan. 1.
As a member of the MHA Board of Trustees, Holekamp’s responsibilities include overseeing the administration of MHA and developing association policies.
“We are pleased to have someone with Nick’s depth of experience assume this important leadership role,” said Marc D. Smith, MHA president.
Holekamp has served as the hospital’s chief medical officer since 2000. In addition, he serves on the medical staff of 3 St. Louis hospitals — St. Louis Children’s Hospital, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and St. John’s Mercy Medical Center. He is a member of the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions and is president of the St. Louis Pediatric Society. In 2007, Holekamp was named Health Care Hero
by the St. Louis Business Journal.
Holekamp received his bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and his doctorate in medicine from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatric and adolescent medicine at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. He is board certified in pediatrics.
The Missouri Hospital Association is a not-for-profit association in Jefferson City that represents 152 Missouri hospitals. In addition to representation and advocacy on behalf of its membership, the association offers continuing education programs on current health care topics and seeks to educate the public, as well as legislative representatives, about health care issues.
