Ranken Jordan - A Pediatric Specialty Hospital has hired Jane Langa to direct the hospital's capital campaign fundraising effort. Ms. Langa brings a wealth of experience in non-profit fundraising, marketing management, sales promotion and business leadership, including 20 years in brand creative management for Anheuser-Busch. Most recently, Jane has served as Planned Giving Counselor for The Salvation Army.
"Our patients always are our main concern. The addition of Jane to our staff will allow us to use her fundraising talents to help us build a bigger hospital. In the next few years, a bigger Ranken Jordan will dramatically expand our ability to help many more medically complex and seriously injured children in our region," said Lauri Tanner, president and chief executive officer.
With a patient waiting list that only grows longer, the 34-bed hospital in Maryland Heights will be expanding by more than 75 percent when it builds an additional wing and reaches a maximum capacity of 60 beds.
"I'm excited about coming to Ranken Jordan because of the great results we get with our kids," said Langa. "I want to share our mission and our vision of the future with both existing donors and new friends who don't yet know of our inspirational story of hope and healing, of courage and commitment. Ranken Jordan has a wonderful story to tell and I'm ready to tell it," Langa proclaimed.
"Our innovative 'Care Beyond the Bedside' healthcare model is really a model for national health care. When people come to Ranken Jordan and see what we do, they are hooked and become passionate donors and volunteers. After my first visit, I was hooked too! It's an amazing place and I can't imagine a better opportunity to make a difference," Langa said.
Jane, a resident of Des Peres, will work closely with Ranken Jordan's executive management team, board of directors and community leaders and residents to secure leadership gifts to meet the hospital's campaign goals. Langa will set strategy, execute communications, facilitate personal introductions and cultivate new and existing relationships in the St. Louis metropolitan area, Midwest region and across the nation.
