Excitement and anticipation filled the air as the patients of Ranken Jordan celebrated their first real prom on Friday, May 9th. The PHRS gym was totally decked out with the “masquerade” theme, with special lighting, drapery and even masks for the patients to wear. Generous donations from local businesses such as Exclusive Events, and Kirkwood Florist made the evening very special.
After everyone had partaken of the delicious dinner and dessert provided by Sybergs, the patients and their friends danced with the staff members to every tune. Finally, the moment that everyone had been waiting for…the King and Queen were announced at 7:15 p.m. The winners were King Brady and Queens Jessica and Geraldine.
This was just the beginning of what will become a “Ranken tradition” for years to come.
